Cotesbach Anthotype Research Project
I am currently working on a research project with Dr Kate Wells, investigating anthotypes. These are images made using natural dyes as an emulsion. A transparency of an image is placed on top of the sensitised paper or material and exposed to UV light or sunlight. The process may take days to fade the emulsion and leave a residual image. Plants are being collected from the Cotesbach estate near Lutterworth and the project complements the current work which is investigating the estates history from the large and fascinating family archive.
The initial findings of the research were presented at the Format 15 conference on 10/04/2015 along with some cyanotypes we have also produced.
Derby Fringe, part of Format15 .

Bang & Olufsen are open Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 17:00 and the exhibition is running from 14/03/2015 – 12/04/2015.
