The Jungle is a refugee camp in Calais, France, separated from England by only twenty-two miles of the English Channel. It is home to thousands of migrants who have fled their homelands for what they thought would be the safety of Europe, and for many in the jungle, specifically the United Kingdom(UK). It is understandable that many in the camp want to come to the UK as they have at least a rudimentary understanding of English and some have relatives and friends living in the UK.
